Swedish right of access legislation means that forest and land is open to the general public. Sveaskog is involved in several forms of cooperation aimed at promoting this. One of these is a long term engagement in the national project, Skogen i Skolan (forest in the school), which is a collaboration between all forest interest groups, and which provides schools with facts and inspirational material.
The forest can to advantage be used for educational purposes. It encompasses the subjects of biology, geology, science, history and much much more.
As the main sponsor for Swedish orienteering, we also run the youth project, Skogsäventyret (Forest adventure), which, through schools, is aimed at the 11-year-old age group.
