There are about two million hobby anglers in Sweden. Fishing is a wonderful nature experience, and it is important for us at Sveaskog to nurture and develop it.
As Sweden's largest forest owner, we have many attractive fishing waters at our disposal. And we want to encourage as many people as we can to get out into the countryside and experience the enjoyment of fishing.
This is why we grant fishing rights to private individuals, fishing clubs/associations and eco-tourism companies. The Sverigefiskekortet (fishing licence) opens up our more than 800 fishing waters in 41 municipalities to the general public.
Sveaskog works to maintain the sustainable development of fishing on its land, and it safeguards living environments in order to facilitate biological diversity. We are careful to ensure that fishing is carried out according to biological and ethical principles so as to facilitate the growth and reproduction of naturally breeding fish.
